Joshua Ross
Josh is a true renaissance man—an engineer, pilot, martial artist, and artist—driven by curiosity, imagination, and a passion for solving complex problems from multiple perspectives.
He spent 19 years at The Boeing Company, where he served as a lead design engineer on several major aircraft programs, including the 787-8/-9 center wing box, the 777X wing, and the 767-F/-2C/KC-46 and 777 strut and pylon systems. Josh also acted as the technology integrator for the Boeing Next/Aerion joint venture, developing the AS2 supersonic wing, where he earned one of his two patents (US-20160176500-A1 and US-20250198447-A1). His experience also includes time as a tooling stress analyst on Boeing’s enterprise core team.
Josh’s international experience includes three years living and working in Japan, along with project work in Moscow and Korea—giving him a global perspective and deep cultural insight into international engineering collaboration.
He is a licensed professional engineer and holds a commercial airplane pilot certificate. Outside of engineering, he is a competitive aerobatic pilot and dedicated practitioner of classical Japanese martial arts. He trains in Shinbukan Kuroda Ryugi and teaches Nami Ryu Aiki Heiho. As a calligrapher, his Japanese calligraphy has been featured in the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art and galleries at the Seattle Center, earning numerous awards in Japan.
Josh recently left Boeing to launch a new chapter as a consultant and entrepreneur. He is currently developing his own aircraft and partnering with the Renaissance Leadership Alliance and Dr. Alfonso Montero to coach and mentor leaders across industries—helping companies build stronger international relationships and navigate complex engineering and organizational challenges.
